Akel House Hotel, Cartagena

I recently stayed in a beautifully arranged Double Room that exceeded my expectations. The space was spotlessly clean, and the wet room style ensuite added a touch of modern comfort to the charming colonial architecture. The comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep, making my stay incredibly enjoyable.

Every morning, I enjoyed a good breakfast on the rooftop terrace, surrounded by beautiful views of Getsemani. The variety of fresh fruit, coffee, and traditional Colombian dishes like eggs with arepas made for a great start to my day. I loved soaking in the sights and sounds of the city while savoring my meal.

The ensuite bathroom in my room was styled in a wet room format, which was not only modern but also very functional. I appreciated the stable water pressure during my showers, making it a pleasant experience each time. This attention to detail added to the overall high-quality feel of the hotel.

The small pool area within Akel House was a perfect retreat from the Cartagena heat. It wasn't overly large, but it provided a refreshing escape and a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring. It was wonderful to dip in the cool water and lounge around, soaking up the tranquility.
